Women's Big Bash League 2026 (WBBL|12) overview
The 12th season of the Weber Women's Big Bash League runs from 29 October to 5 December 2026 (Australian dates). Eight teams play 40 league matches across 38 days, with the top four going through to a three-match finals series. Hobart Hurricanes are the defending champions after winning their first WBBL title last season.
This season brings two big changes. The overseas draft has been scrapped, so clubs sign international stars directly, and Junction Oval in Melbourne now has permanent floodlights, so the Stars and Renegades can host night games for the first time. There are 25 prime-time matches, the most in WBBL history, and the two Melbourne derbies will be played for the Melbourne Mace for the first time.
